Description A tongue-twister as a kind of Uzbek oral folklore represents a phrase or a sentence that consists from rhymed words difficult to articulate. It can be a fascinating folk game - to quickly, cleanly and correctly pronounce the most complex combinations of sounds or long words.
Social and cultural significance The speech of the child is formed not in itself, but under the influence of the speech of adults, in the process of communication. And how we build communication with the baby will largely depend on how successful it will become in the future. The most accessible and interesting way to develop speech is the use of folklore in this process, namely, tongue-twisters. They are considered a very effective method of training the speech apparatus, making it more mobile; contribute to the development of diction and correct, intelligible, expressive speech. In addition, many ща them are very funny. Some of them contain semantic and logical contradictions that are interesting to examine with children. The meaning of the tongue-twisters becomes an excellent basis for expanding and enriching the child's dictionary. Also, they, in addition to speech, allow to develop logic and imagination, improve the memory and attention of children. Learning a quick talk, the child learns to be meaningful about what he says, to weigh each word, to feel the connection between phrases, to capture very subtle nuances in intonation, sense, meaning; his auditory attention, phonematic hearing develops, his ability to perceive the pace and rhythm of speech is formed. It can be said that learning tongue-twisters has a beneficial effect on the intellectual development of a child and will help him when studying at school. Obviously, they are also useful for adults in language learning, improving diction and other cases.
Transmission method The element is an integral part of Uzbek folklore. It is passed from generation to generation, in the family, makhalla, kindergarten, school. It is specially studied in educational institutions of the philological direction. Books for children, special literature are published. Specialized research institutes are working on this topic.
