Description Uzbek martial art originates from ancient times. This is evidenced by archaeological finds found in our country. Also in later times, Amir Temur also paid great attention to martial arts. His army consisted of horse and foot warriors. They used various weapons available at that time, incendiary mixtures and other devices. At the same time, it was required of the soldiers to master the art of hand-to-hand combat and delivering point blows to the enemy without weapons. Uzbek martial art has its own distinctive features in comparing the methods of combat without weapons mainly available to the peoples of the Far East.
Social and cultural significance The main ideas of Uzbek martial art, which originates from ancient times, are the worthy education of the younger generation, their instillation of real patriotism, the popularization and propaganda of this sport and art. This sport is based on the following principles: - Organization of competitions on periodic permanent basis - Organization of demonstrations - Sparring device - Participation of everyone - Smooth exercises - Delivering point strikes to the enemy. Modesty, honesty, decency, patience, self-control, willpower are necessary for this type of art. Elements of traditional teaching and trust relations between teacher and student are applied. Honoring the elders is a prerequisite. A serious attitude to mastering the skills of martial art is necessary. Resent time big attention is paid to development and popularization of this art, especially among youth. There is a Martial Arts Federation of Uzbekistan, which holds various competitions at the republican and international levels.
Transmission method In the dissemination and transmission of this element, the main role belongs to the Uzbek Martial Arts Federation and its branches, sports sections, schools, including sports schools and other institutions.
