| Description | Ashaglon is a Tajik traditional rite with a stuffed Ashaglon for making rain from the sky or from God. The ceremony is usually performed by women when there is no rain in the days of spring and during periods of drought. Women walk through rural houses and sing a special song of Ashaglon. One of the women picks up a stuffed animal of Ashaglon. Housewives leave the house and spray water on their heads and ask for rain from God. | ||
