Buklog: Thanksgiving Ritual System of the Subanen
Description The first ritual of the Buklog is the sinulampong, where the balyan asks permission from the spirits to cut timber for the construction of the Buklog structure and signifies the community’s readiness for the ritual. The Buklog is the most elaborate system of rituals of thanksgiving of the Subanen people of Zamboanga Peninsula in southern Philippines.
