Using Mud as Mordant: Traditional Dyeing Process of the Ifugao in Northern Luzon
Description Cotton threads, tied at certain portions in the ikat technique, are soaked in natural dyes, which will be then soaked in mud. They will be woven into traditional textiles in the village of Amganad in the municipality Banaue, province of Ifugao, located in the Cordillera region of northern Luzon Island in the Philippines.
