Description The term “intangible cultural legacy” describes the cultural elements that cannot be seen, such as conventions, beliefs, abilities, and information that are passed down from one generation to the next. It contributes to the definition of communities and their distinctive identities and is a crucial component of cultural diversity. A community’s capacity to resist, adapt to, and recover from shocks or stressors like natural disasters or economic shifts is referred to as “community resilience.” By fostering social cohesion, maintaining traditional knowledge and skills that may be employed in times of need, and creating a feeling of identity and community, a strong intangible cultural heritage can play a significant role in fostering community resilience. Communities can become more resilient and better prepared to handle difficulties by appreciating and developing intangible cultural assets.
