Description |
Qaulmeans, “saying” and refers to the word of the Prophet. The word Qawwali has its origins in this word and is the repetition of qaul. The qaul is the basic ritual song of Sufism, and it must be sung as the Qawwali occasion’s opening or closing hymn. Several hymns are considered qauls, but the text is always based on a saying of Prophet Muhammad. This is one of the most famous Qauls.
